University of Leeds Quiet Room Access
  • We have a room in Disability Services called The Quiet Room. This is a low sensory room which is reserved as a 'safe space' on campus for students who need it.
  • To access the quiet room please ask at reception or show this card. Staff will need to check the room is free before you use it.
  • Located down the ‘staff only’ corridor on the ground floor of Disability Services (Chemistry West Building, 55A on the campus map). This room can be used during office hours: 9am- 5pm, Monday to Friday.
  • This room has: Recliner chair Foot stool Bean bag Floor cushions CD player with calming music Screen for privacy Dimmable lighting (press and hold the switch on the wall next to the door) ‘Occupied’ sign on the outside of the door
  • Staff may walk past this room to check you are ok. You can visit the room before you use it; contact disability@leeds.ac.uk.
  • Please do not use this room to study, as it is reserved as a ‘safe space’ for students who need it. Thank you!
