HiHello pioneered the software-only solution for digital business cards by creating a unique mobile app experience for creating and sharing your digital business cards and how users receive your digital business card. We know we did something great here because several other companies copied the HiHello experience at the surface. Some of them copied it right down to every pixel, the copy, and the pricing page.
Today, I’m pleased to share how HiHello is upping the game by updating our mobile app experience to make it better than ever. Our product and design team worked hard to create this experience, and our engineering team worked hard to ensure they delivered it to our users. We’re proud of their work and wanted to share some of the behind-the-scenes thinking with you.
Card Carousel for your Multiple Cards
HiHello believes everyone should have multiple cards for different personas and identities, even for different languages. This is why we designed our app to allow you to create and share multiple cards so you can choose what information you want to share with the people you are meeting. HiHello is used by millions of people all over the world. We’ve seen over 180+ countries represented in our user base, and almost all of our users have more than one card.
HiHello’s new card carousel lets you view your cards easily and clearly. Simply swipe left and right through your cards to pick whichever one you want to share. Your app will also give you haptic feedback as you move through your cards.
Sensible and Discoverable Gestures
Sharing your card has never been easier. Once you’ve swiped over to the card you wish to share, simply swipe up to show the HiHello QR code to share that card. Want to send your card via email instead? No worries, just swipe right to slide over to the send via email screen. Or, swipe left from the HiHello QR code screen to send your card via text message. When you’re done, swipe down to return to your card carousel. It's that simple!
Redesigned widgets
We’ve also redesigned our widgets to provide a modern look and feel and provided beautiful light mode and dark mode variants so that your phone’s home screen is highly functional and beautiful.
With HiHello’s widgets, you can securely share your card without opening the app. Unlike NFC cards, which are inherently insecure, your HiHello QR code for your card is accessed when you unlock your device and show it to the person you wish to share it with.
You can place your HiHello QR code directly on your home screen and choose which card you want to show by long-pressing the widget to edit and choose the card you wish to use. You can even add multiple QR codes (we recommend doing this on different home screen pages) so that your most frequently used cards are right at hand.
With our multi-card widgets, you can see all your cards in one place and even access the AI paper business card scanner with a tap on the widget.
