SXSW 2025 was a whirlwind of creativity, innovation, and connections. At HiHello, we dove headfirst into the action with our takeover of the Networking Lounge on March 10th. Here's what we learned and experienced:
1. The Power of Personal Touch
In a sea of digital interactions, our event reminded us that there’s no substitute for personal connections. We met innovators, creatives, and entrepreneurs from all walks of life, each with a unique story to tell.
“SXSW was an incredible showcase of innovation, creativity, and meaningful conversations. It was inspiring to see professionals from all industries eager to embrace smarter networking solutions. The excitement around HiHello proved that the future of relationship-building is digital, seamless, and more impactful than ever!”
- Spencer Siegel, Account Executive
2. A Picture is Worth a Thousand Connections
Our HiHello Headshot HQ was a hit! We snapped professional headshots for hundreds of attendees, helping them upgrade their digital presence and make a great impression with every digital business card they share. It was amazing to see how a simple photo could boost confidence.

“SXSW was an absolute blast! 🚀 Getting to represent HiHello at Headshot HQ and snap professional headshots for so many amazing people was such a rewarding experience. There’s nothing better than seeing someone walk away with a big smile, excited about their fresh new headshot! And can you guess who made them smile? The lovely humans at HiHello. Talk about a lasting impression! After the success of TechCrunch in San Francisco, it was awesome to bring that same energy to SXSW.”
- Ashley Bramwell, Marketing Designer
3. Networking is a Two-Way Street
We didn't just meet people; we connected them. Introductions were made, collaborations sparked, and friendships formed. It was a reminder that networking is about giving as much as getting.
“It was a joy to engage with the diverse and dynamic audience at SXSW—an inspiring mix of people from different industries, backgrounds, and perspectives. Despite their differences, SXSW attendees share a common thread: an insatiable curiosity and a drive to connect. Now, as new adopters of HiHello, they can network seamlessly—not just at SXSW, but beyond!”
- Sue Dietrich, Head of Marketing
4. Digital Business Cards are the New Black
Our digital business cards were a game-changer. No more paper clutter or lost contacts. People loved how easy it was to share their info and connect on the spot.

“The SXSW crowd really gets what we’re doing with our HiHello movement. We had so many wonderful conversations with passionate HiHello users and large companies that were seeking innovative ways to make contact sharing and networking better through technology. The packed line at our headshot HQ was a further testament that people value their personal and professional brand image, often waiting 10-20 minutes to get their photos taken. I’m honored to have joined the SXSW community where it was very clear that we’re aligned in helping people and brands achieve their creative goals through new ideas.”
- Kyle Morden, Vice President of Sales
5. Community is Key
SXSW showed us that even in a crowded room, community matters. Our lounge became a hub for meaningful conversations and lasting connections. It was a testament to the power of bringing people together.
“There’s nothing like the energy of SXSW—so many creative minds coming together, sparking new ideas, and making connections that can truly shape the future. Getting to be a part of the Headshot HQ was incredible! I got to capture people connecting with their new HiHello cards and sharing their praise for the app—it was amazing to see how seamlessly it helped them network and build relationships.”
- Becca Sass, Marketing Designer
“The Networking Lounge at SXSW was absolutely buzzing with energy. It was an incredible opportunity to engage with a dynamic and creative audience, including teams from AMD, VML, and Eli Lilly and Company, alongside professors and students from Baylor, Vanderbilt, Central Michigan University, and beyond. Every conversation was unique and inspiring, and it was amazing to see the excitement as people embraced their new HiHello card. The best part? Thanks to my HiHello contacts page, I can easily stay connected for future business opportunities and collaborations.”
- Gabe Farman, Account Executive
As we reflect on SXSW 2025, one thing stands out: the people. We met visionaries, artists, and changemakers who are shaping the future. And we're honored to have played a part in their SXSW experience.
Until next year, stay connected, keep innovating, and remember – it's not just about who you meet but the stories you create together.
